Regrets in life.

We can all look back with regret, think of things we wish we had done differently. I have some. Regrets that is. I have several actually. But today, I watched a man be a father to his son. He taught him, he quizzed him, he explained the difference between ignorance, rudeness and how to be someone who stands out as a good person. I regret not giving myself the chance to be a father, a teacher, and a man, to someone who looks to me and sees Superman. I gave that chance away. Instead, I decided I couldn’t be Superman, I decided my boy would look up to me and hate me the way I hated my father. I gave up on me, and now, I watch a father fish with his son, teach him the ropes, give him the right path and I wish I could start all over. That’s regret.
